FIS and Polar, the pioneer of wearable sports and fitness technology and the leader in heart rate monitoring, want to inspire Cross-Country skiers across the world to take part in a fun competition: the FIS Tour de Ski Challenge 2016 Powered by Polar.
During the FIS Tour de Ski in January, skiers of all levels can track their kilometers on the ski track and sync their training to the Polar Flow service to find out which country racks up the most Cross-Country Skiing kilometers.
FIS Tour de Ski Challenge 2016 starts on January 1st, 2016 and ends on January 10th. All you need to participate is a Polar Flow compatible Polar product with GPS, such as the M400 or V800, and an account on Polar Flow.
During the challenge, participants can visit http://fistourdeski2016.polar.com to see which country has earned the most Cross-Country Skiing kilometers. The nation’s challenge is all part of the goal to get people of all fitness levels moving and active during the Tour de Ski.
“Cross-Country Skiing is a big part of Polar’s history and we’re excited to partner with Polar for this unique experience. The FIS Tour de Ski Challenge is a fun opportunity for everyone to take part in the excitement of Tour de Ski,” says FIS Cross-Country Race Director Pierre Mignerey.
