Enough snow was already produced in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Innsbruck and Bischofshofen, the organizers in Oberstdorf are still lacking some snow in order the prepare the hill. "We are absolutely on the safe side and we have three options, that we can use over the next days as needed", said Dr. Peter Kruijer, chairman of the ski club in Oberstdorf.
The organizing committees can also announce good news when it comes to ticket sales. Again a total of over 100 000 visitors are expected at the four locations. "We are happy about the great interest and especially about the fact that we could produce enough cubic meters of snow for our events that early", told Johann Pichler of the OC in Bischofshofen.
