Great news after the difficult start into the season 2015/16: One of the competitions that had to be cancelled due to the strong and rapidly changing winds in the Northern Finnish venue has been rescheduled in Trondheim, Norway in February.

Trondheim will now host a big Nordic Combined event with two mid-week competitions on Tuesday and Wednesday and also the FIS Nordic Combined Youth Cup for boys and girls and so bring the whole Nordic Combined family together for two packed days of competing.

„We have gotten the official request on Wednesday but we have been prepared since a couple of days that it might come, so we did not need to think about it for a long time. We are set to host the World Cup in Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined on Wednesday anyway and so this is not such a big extra burden for us. It was also important to show that we as an organising committee take the responsibility to help and develop a discipline that has traditionally been very strong in Trondheim and Trøndelag“, says OC President Erik Andresen.

FIS Race Director Lasse Ottesen was more than happy with this solution: „We had great events in Trondheim int the past and for FIS it was important to find an organiser who has experience on that level, so it was quite natural to ask Trondheim. In addition to that, the date fits into the calendar very well with the competition in Oslo on the 7th and after that it’s now off to Trondheim for competitions on the following Tuesday and Wednesday.“
