World Cup in Chaux-Neuve postponed one week
The continuous warm weather in parts of central Europe has unfortunately forced another change on the Nordic Combined World Cup calendar of 2015/16.

The World Cup weekend in Chaux-Neuve, France which was scheduled for the 16th and 17th of January is now set to take place on the on the 23rd and 24th of January, 2016. The new snow control date for this weekend will be Friday, January 15.

Despite the difficult conditions, the local Organising Committee welcomes the opportunity to host the only French stage of the World Cup, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year.

„The current snow situation on site and the rainfall and warm temperatures forecasted for this weekend do not allow us to host the World Cup on the 16th and 17th of January as planned. In agreement with the FIS, we took the opportunity to postpone the event to the following weekend which was currently open on the competition calendar“, OC Coordinator Samuel Lopes said.

„We hope that the cold weather and snow expected for the middle of next week will help us to keep this event in Chaux-Neuve. This postponement requires an exceptional extra dedication in terms of logistics and manpower on part of the 500 volunteers of the World Cup but the OC assures an optimal reception of the 200 athletes, coaches and officials as well as the 15.000 expected spectators.“

The starting times for the new weekend will be communicated later.
