Green light for snowboard cross World Cup at Feldberg

Since 4:30 PM, it's official: the snowboard cross World Cup tour will return to Germany after a break of ten years.

With the positive snow control by FIS Official Alberto Schiavon and course builder Anders Forsell at the back nothings stands in the way of the double event scheduled at Feldberg from January 22nd till 24th, 2016.

Thanks to the snowfall over the past days and a promising snow forecast with colder temperatures for the next day as well as the possibility to produce some more artificial snow both races are safe.

However, the course will be shorter than usually planned due to the current conditions but still be visible for spectators.

The current snow cover ranges from 30cm to 45cm, and counting.

It's the third time in history, the snowboard cross World Cup circuit will stop over in Germany where the last events took place in Berchtesgaden back in 2003 and 2004.
