The global success of the 5^th edition of World Snow Day is still being felt weeks after the event on 17^th January 2016. The continued momentum of World Snow Day has prompted FIS to already confirm the organisation and date of the next edition.

The 6^th World Snow Day will take place on 15^th January 2017. Online registration for events will open on 1^st July 2016 and close on 15^th December 2016.

FIS President Gian Franco Kasper declared: “World Snow Day has been a great success for FIS and many stakeholders in the sport and winter sport industry. FIS’ long term commitment to the event and its development remains and we are happy to be able to announce the staging of the 6^thedition.”
