

The 2015/16 World Cup season not only featured thrilling competitions, but also awarded a large amount of prize money to the best competitors in each discipline. Below is an overview of the top earners.
In Alpine Skiing, overall World Cup Champion Marcel Hirscher (AUT) and downhill crystal globe winner Lindsey Vonn (USA) topped the prize money rankings.
Hirscher concluded the 2015/16 season as the top prize money earner across all FIS disciplines with CHF 588'778 thanks to 20 podiums of which eight were victories.
With 13 podiums of which nine were victories, Vonn earned CHF 432’106 beating overall World Cup Champion Lara Gut (SUI) who went home with CHF 383'274.
In Cross-Country Skiing, Therese Johaug and Martin Johnsrud Sundby (both NOR) who dominated the FIS World Cup, FIS Tour de Ski and Tour de Canada topped the prize money rankings by substantial margins.
With 17 victories and an additional five podium placements, Johaug won CHF 430’700 while Johnsrud Sundby earned CHF 407’200 thanks to 19 podiums, of which 14 were World Cup wins.

In Ski Jumping, super star Peter Prevc (SLO) collected CHF 248’800 and dominated the prize money rankings by a substantial margin ahead of runner-up Severin Freund (GER) who earned CHF 169’500. The ladies’ Ski Jumping World Cup winner Sara Takanashi (JPN) collected CHF 48’300.

Meanwhile, as in the past years, Eric Frenzel (GER) was Nordic Combined's top earner with CHF 102’700. Fabian Riessle (GER) went home with CHF 74’840 while, Akito Watabe (JPN) earned CHF 71’720.
