

Two major indoor snow centres are currently being built in China.
Zhangjiajie Ice and Snow World will feature a 25,380m2 cold area including a 9,800m2 slope with dimensions of 165x35m and a slope angle of 8°.
The facility will also incorporate a slightly smaller tubing area of 7,300m2 with a steeper slope angle along with a 15,580m2 snow play area.
The second facility is Changsha Dawangshan Deep Pit Ice and Snow World, which will feature a slightly larger 27,900m2 cold area and along with ski slope, tubing and snow play areas there will be a 1,173m2 ice lake.
The 115x50m ski slope will have a 5,859m2 surface area and a 7.9° pitch. The tubing area will cover 3,800m2 while the snow play area will cover 12,218m2.
In total, more than 100 ice and snow centre projects have been completed in Asia in the past 15 years, contributing to the expansion of snow sports in the region.
