In a month from now, some 850 participants that have registered to date will travel to Cancun (MEX) for the 50^th International Ski Congress from 5^th-11^th June 2016. A welcome reception by the Mexican Ski Association on Monday, 6^th June, at the Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach Cancunwill mark the official opening, which promises to be a fantastic occasion for the worldwide FIS family.

The highlights of the week will include the announcement of the 2020 and 2021 FIS World Championship Organisers, the election of the FIS Council (Candidates to be announced next week), as well as an excursion to the World Heritage site of the Maya ruins at Tulum on 9^th June.

If participants have not signed up yet for the traditional Congress excursion, they can still do so upon arrival at the FIS Travel Service Office at the Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach Cancun.

Meanwhile, a representative of Cancun Tourism will be at the disposal of FIS Congress participants who will be able to offer special rates for half-or full-day tours in the surrounding areas of Cancun.
