Proposals for FIS Committee Members for restructured Snowboard Freestyle Freeski Committee and Sub-Committees

Proposals for members of the Snowboard Freestyle and Freeski Committee and the four new Sub-Committees should be submitted by the National Ski Associations by 30th September 2016, using the FIS Committee Member Manager tool.

As reported in the FIS Newsflash, during the FIS Council Meetings in June 2016 in Cancun (MEX), the structure of the Freestyle Skiing and Snowboard Committees has been revised. As a result, a new body unifying both disciplines was established.

The new Snowboard Freestyle and Freeski Committee and Sub-Committees are as follows:

Committee for Snowboard Freestyle and Freeski

  • Sub-Committee for Park and Pipe
  • Sub-Committee for Cross
  • Sub-Committee for Moguls and Aerials
  • Sub-Committee for Snowboard Alpine
  • Sub-Committee for Snowboard and Freestyle Skiing Youth & Children’s Questions (Committee composition confirmed by FIS Council in Cancun remains valid)

Following the submission of proposals, membership of the Committees and Sub-Committee will be confirmed by the FIS Council at its next meeting in November 2016 in order that the new structure and members are in place during the competition season and can function at the FIS Technical Committee Meetings in spring 2017.
