Passing of Robert Brunner
One of the well-known faces on the men’s Audi FIS Ski World Cup tour, Robert Brunner (ITA) has passed away at the age of 64.
Brunner, a native of Sterzing, accompanied the great champions of the golden years of Italian skiing as a PR expert, starting with Alberto Tomba. He moved on from the Italian Winter Sports Federation to work with the Austrian Alpine men’s team from 2001-2010.
In 2010 he made his return to his roots and moved back to FISI as Sports and later Marketing Director before closing his long career.
FIS would like to express its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Robert Brunner.
