The confirmation is in for the mid-week event of the Nordic Combined Summer Grand Prix 2015: the tour will make a stop at the brand-new hill complex in Tschagguns in the Montafon region. The cross-country part will take place on the roller-ski track in Partenen.

Following many requests by World Snow Day Organisers the first phase of the World Snow Day awards will be introduced in 2015.

On 23rd June, the Olympic Movement celebrated Olympic Day with a host of events designed to get people all around the world ‘off the couch’, join in the fun and discover new sports.

The FIS Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2016 will be held in Rasnov (ROU) from February 21st to 28th.

The world’s top Cross-Country skiers from over 25 countries will go head-to-head on Canadian soil at the FIS Cross- Country World Cup’s grand finale for the season. With no Olympic Games or World Championships on the international calendar in 2015-2016, Ski Tour Canada 2016 will be one of the pinnacle events of the upcoming cross-country ski season.

With two important events coming up – the Junior World Championships in Stitna (CZE) and the World Championships in Tambre (ITA) – Grass Skiing is looking ahead to an exciting summer.

The FIS Directory 2015 will again be available by the FIS Technical Committee Meetings in autumn 2015. The deadline to submit updates is Wednesday, 24th June 2015.

Following a meeting of the SportAccord Council on Monday, 15th June 2015, the Council confirmed that FIS President Gian Franco Kasper, Senior Vice-President of SportAccord, will exercise the function of an ad-hoc interim chairman of the Council until a new President is elected at an Extraordinary General Assembly.

FIS would like to express its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Romain Claudon who tragically passed away on Sunday, 14th June. Romain Claudon (24) fell of a MTB on a descent from the Bauges massif and suffered fatal injuries.
