Preparation for the FIS Cross-Country World Cup sprint competition in Drammen on 11th March 2015 are on schedule just a week before the top athletes descend on the city for the popular sprint. The only city sprint on the FIS Cross-Country World Cup this season is celebrating its 11th anniversary.

The new world champions are back on track just one week after the World Championships in Falun, when Lahti hosts eight FIS World Cup events in Ski Jumping, Cross-Country and Nordic Combined from 6th -8th March 2015.

On Sunday March 8, 2015, at 08:00 CET, is the start in Sälen of the 91st Vasaloppet since the beginning in 1922.

After very intense and exciting World Championships in Falun, Sweden, the World Cup 2014/15 will now conclude with its regular tour through Scandinavia. First up is the Finnish venue of Lahti where all three Nordic disciplines will reunite again.

Yesterday was the last day for Falun as World Championships hosts; the next World Championships will be held in 2017 in Lahti, Finland. Organizing the next World Championships makes Lahti historic since it is the seventh time they are hosting the event. Last time the town were organizers was in 2001.
