The fourth FIS Coordination Group meeting for the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2021 took place on Tuesday and Wednesday in Oberstdorf (GER).

The International Ski Federation (FIS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Global Sports Investigations (GSI) to deliver and operate a series of governance reforms including a whistleblowing hotline, an independent ethics office for the preliminary assessment of concerns raised, as well as providing ancillary intelligence support.

A total of 13 submissions were made by the member National Ski Associations for the FIS SnowKidz Award 2018.

The FIS Congress in Costa Navarino had many forward-looking meetings.

The FIS Council held its spring Meetings during the FIS Congress Week in Costa Navarino (GRE) from 13th - 17th May, with the first meeting on the newly-elected Council on Saturday 19th May.

The 51st International Ski Congress in Costa Navarino (GRE) from 13th – 19th May was attended by more than 1,100 participants from the global ski family including delegates, representatives of National Ski Associations, Organising Committees, the ski industry, FIS partners and the media, who took part in more than 100 official meetings.

Today, Thursday 17th May, the FIS Council elected the Organisers of the FIS World Championships in Nordic, Alpine, Freestyle & Snowboard 2023, as well as for the FIS Ski Flying World Championships 2022.

As meetings continue at the biennial FIS Congress held in Costa Navarino (GRE), some important issues have been discussed already and the committees have agreed on proposals they wish to push forward to the FIS Council for final validation.

On the opening day of the 2018 FIS Congress, the participants were immediately engaged at the FIS Development Programme Leaders’ Seminar.

The final push is on for the six candidates to host the FIS World Championships 2022 and 2023.
