Ludwig “Luggi” Leitner, one of the world’s skiing legends passed away on 21st March, almost one month after his 73rd birthday.

As part of the FIS Calendar Conference 2013 in Cavtat-Dubrovnik (CRO), FIS will be organising its 3rd FIS Event Organisers Seminar on Friday, 7th June and Saturday, 8th June 2013.

The 2012/13 World Cup season not only featured thrilling competitions, but also awarded a large amount of prize money among the best competitors in each discipline.

VALMELENCO, ITA, 19 MAR 2013 – The FIS Freestyle Junior World Championships gets going in Valmelenco, ITA for the second straight year from March 26-31, 2013.

On 12th-13th March, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Coordination Commission visited the city of Sochi for the ninth and penultimate time.

VOSS, NOR, 12 MAR 2013 – Featuring roughly 375 athletes, from 35 nations, competing in 6 events at two venues over the course of one week, the 2013 Voss/Oslo FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships was an absolute bonanza for any fan of freestyle skiing and possibly the best freestyle World Championships ever.

The International Olympic Committee has announced the composition of its working commissions for 2013.

The viewers and spectators alike have been treated to wonderful sights of competitions from the Valley of Fiemme during the FIS Nordic Worlds. In addition, the fans of Nordic Skiing will also have noticed the many beautiful new wooden buildings and the wood-dominated construction of the finish installations and the medals plaza, for example.
