


On Saturday, 28th October 2017 in Helsinki (FIN), Markku Haapasalmi was unanimously elected as the new President of the Finnish Ski Association by the Association’s Council. Haapasalmi follows in the footsteps of Jukka-Pekka Vuori who held the position for the past four years.


The FIS Forum Alpinum for the 2017/18 season took place on 27th October 2017 in Soelden (AUT) as members of the alpine ski racing community and media gathered together for the annual event.

Ski Jumping took centre stage at the 4th Coordination Group for the Seefeld 2019 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships.

This season the title of World’s Largest Kids Snow programme belongs to the Canadian Ski Council for the second consecutive season as the Grade 4 and 5 Snowpass continues into the new season.


The FIS Snowboard World Cup is about to return to Lower Austria this season as Lackenhof will celebrate its World Cup host debut by staging back-to-back parallel races on January 5 and 6, 2018.
