Former Alpine skier Maria José Rienda (SPA) was appointed as Director General of Sports at the government of Andalusia. Her role, which is the most important political position in the Andalusian sports community, will work with both summer and winter sports.

From Thursday 6th August – 14th August one of the biggest training camps for young skiers is taking place in Norway.

The Brazilian Winter Sports Federation in collaboration with the Club Andino Ushuaia recently held a set of FIS races at the Francisco Jerman Nordic Ski Area near Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina.
