


The International Ski Federation is pleased to announce the re-launch of its official website www.fis-ski.com.


The site inspection, meetings and presentations are complete and now it is action time for the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2019, as Seefeld (AUT) was given the green light by the FIS Coordination Group following the Final Inspection on Tuesday and Wednesday.

FIS Race Director Lasse Ottesen, FIS Assistant Race Director Jan Rune Grave and FIS Coordinator Guntram Kraus have all been busy with the different venue inspections over the summer.

On Tuesday during the International Olympic Committee Session in Buenos Aires (ARG), FIS President Gian Franco Kasper was named an IOC Honorary Member.


The FIS Calendar Conference will take place in Cavtat-Dubrovnik (CRO) from May 28th to June 1st 2019. More information for this event will also be provided at a later date.

Ahead of the winter season, the International Ski Federation held its annual inspection of the World Cup Crans-Montana site on Wednesday 12th September 2018.


With the winter in full swing in the Southern Hemisphere, the FIS World Cup season has already started with the first big air FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboard World Cup of 2018/19.
