VAL THORENS, FRA - There's light at the end of the tunnel for the FIS Audi ski cross World Cup tour, as a dark December of cancellations is drawing to a close and bringing us to a January that should see us back to racing.

There's not a lot of snow in Central Europe right now, but the 4-Hills-Tournament, which starts on the weekend after Christmas in Oberstdorf (GER), is not in danger.

It´s only 65 days left to the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2015 in Falun and for all media representatives who plan to be on location when the medals in Cross-Country, Nordic Combined and Ski Jumping are given away, it's now time to apply for accreditation in case you haven't done so far.

The difficult weather situation in middle Europe continues to make things difficult also for Nordic Combined organisers. Now the next Continental Cup competitions which were scheduled to take place at Klingenthal, Germany, next weekend had to be cancelled.

After the past weekend, it is safe to say that one athlete made his aspirations for the rest of the season crystal clear: Austria’s Tomaz Druml. With his double victory in the Contintental Cup Opener in Park City, the 26-year-old overall Continental Cup winner of last season focussed on one goal and one goal only: the World Cup.

After a last snow control which took place this Sunday morning FIS officials have confirmed the Audi FIS Ski World Cup races scheduled in Val Gardena/Groeden (ITA) on 19th-20th December 2014 and Alta Badia (ITA) on 21st December 2014.

After the lack of snow in middle Europe is making it difficult for organisers everywhere to prepare the jumping hills and tracks for competition use, there was a little doubt also about the World Cup in Ramsau am Dachstein which is scheduled to the next weekend.

The first Ski Jumping World Cup in Nizhny Tagil is history, and it was a good debut for the Russian Organizer. This is the unanimous opinion of athletes and officials after the two competitions this past weekend.

The Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined World Cup competitions in Liberec (CZE) which were set to take place on the 7th and 8th of February 2015 had to be cancelled for organisational reasons.

This is to inform you that the Audi FIS Ski Cross World Cup in Innichen (ITA), 19.-21.12.2014 has been cancelled due to the weather conditions which has prevented enough snow accumulation for the course to be prepared.
