On 15th September, Kreischberg (AUT) marked four-month marks until the 2015 FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboard World Championships get underway. The first-ever combined Championships will be held from 15th – 25th January 2015 in the Styrian mountains in Kresichberg and Lachtal with 24 medal events scheduled.

The 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships will soon sport a new fresh look as Official Artist, Carrie Fell recently completed the artwork that will be utilized for the second World Championships poster entitled “Hang Time”.

The second edition of the FIS Development Programme Nordic Summer Training Camp in Val di Fiemme (ITA) recently concluded with athletes from 16 different nations taking part in the two-week camp from 1st-13th September 2014.

Nathalie von Siebenthal won the mini-tour in Andermatt, which consisted of a rollerski prologue in free technique, a roller ski mountain competition in classic and the final trail running pursuit.

Following the successful outcome of the moguls competitions and the record breaking TV and social media audiences at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi (RUS), Japan is stepping up to host a FIS moguls and dual moguls World Cup event.

As the grand finale to the Vail/Beaver Creek Final Inspection, which was held 2nd-3rd September, the Organising Committee invited all the participants in the Inspection Group to help unveil the official Longines countdown clock in Beaver Creek Village.

The FIS Snowboard World Cup has come a long way. For 20 years, FIS has organised a world-wide contest tour for snowboarders, which has not only grown in size over the past decades but also stood abreast of changes in the sport and its events.

The 2014/15 World Cup season is quickly approaching and after a long and busy summer, in just over 50 days the best skiers in the world will be in Soelden (AUT) competing for the first titles of the winter.

In 130 days, the FIS Freestyle Ski & Snowboard World Championships in Kreischberg/Lachtal (AUT) will get underway.

FIS member National Ski Associations are invited to submit their candidacy for hosting the 51st International Ski Congress in 2018. The return of the completed application is required by 15th September 2014.
