Following a successful meeting with the FIS Athletes’ Commission in Barcelona (SPA), Bring Children to the Snow took a moment to sit down with the Chair of the Athletes' Commission Kikkan Randall.

Jamie Coatsworth is the new President of Cross Country Canada (CCC) following the unexpected resignation of Richard Lemoine prior to this weekend’s AGM (Annual General Meeting) in Canmore, AB.

Erik Røste was re-elected as the Norwegian Ski Federation (NSF) president for another two year term. at the general assembly in Loen on Sunday, 15th June.

The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association, in partnership with the Olympic community of Park City and State of Utah, has been awarded the International Ski Federation’s 2019 World Championships for freestyle, freeskiing and snowboarding.

The 49th International Ski Congress in Barcelona (SPA) from 1st to 6th June 2014 was attended by 1’150 participants.

At the first Meeting of the newly-elected Council in Barcelona (SPA) on 6th June 2014, the Council elected four Vice-Presidents of the International Ski Federation.

On Friday, 5th June the FIS Congress (General Assembly) will take place.

The final push is on for the seven candidates to host the FIS World Championships in 2018/2019. Four Nordic, two Alpine and one Freestyle Skiing/Snowboarding Candidates made their final presentations to the FIS Council on 3rd June 2014.

The FIS Athletes‘ Commission held its annual meeting yesterday, 2nd June. With the news just coming in the day before that the Council had granted an observer position to the Athletes Commission, a primary goal of the Commission was reached.

The FIS Council held its first meeting at the 2014 FIS Congress all day on Monday, 2nd June with the primary focus on preparing for Friday’s Congress.
