

The Audi FIS Ski Cross World Cup headed into the Olympic break with a bang on Saturday at Alberta, Canada’s Nakiska ski area, where a tense afternoon of four-aside racing saw dominant Swede Sandra Naeslund nail down her sixth win and eighth straight podium of the season in ladies’ competition, and Paul Eckert (GER) score the first victory of his career on the men’s side of things.


Daniel Andre Tande of Norway is the new Ski Flying World Champion. After only one round on Saturday, the 23-year-old crowned himself the new champion with a 200 m jump. Poland's Kamil Stoch and Richard Freitag of Germany came in second and third.

Jiayu Liu (CHN) and Iouri Podladtchikov (SUI) have claimed victory in the LAAX OPEN Halfpipe World Cup event which took place in challenging conditions today with the snow keeping on falling in the Swiss Alps.

Ester Ledecka (CZE) and Andreas Prommegger (AUT) have claimed victory in the first of two parallel giant slalom races staged in Rogla this weekend.
