Krogh and Northug combine for dominant team sprint gold
Finn Hagen Krogh and Petter Northug Jr. combined for a dominant victory at the 2015 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in the team sprint competition in Falun, Sweden. It was clear early in the men's final that it would be a battle for the silver medal as the Norwegian duo pulled away from the field after just a lap for each skier. The 2013 Team Sprint World Champions from Russia (Petukhov, Kruikov) took the silver position in a photo finish just ahead of Italy (Noeckler, Pellegrino) in the bronze medal spot. The pairing from Italy won the only team sprint on the World Cup calendar in January in Otepaa, Estonia.
