Eguibar and Moenne Loccoz win season titles in snowboard cross
Lucas Eguibar (SPA) and Nelly Moenne Loccoz (FRA) took home the season snowboard cross titles in the final race of the season in La Molina (SPA).
Eguibar, who finished ninth on home soil, had a strong start to the season which was enough to power him through to claim the crystal globe. Meanwhile on the ladies’ side, Moenne Loccoz’s second-place finish in La Molina saw her to first place in the season standings.
“I'm so happy to win the globe although the season was so short. I want to dedicate the title to my family and my team. I did a good job in Veysonnaz but was very lucky today,” Eguibar said.
Charlotte Bankes (FRA) and Christopher Robanske (CAN) were the winners of this season's third snowboard cross race which was characterised by tough weather conditions with heavy snow fall in the Pyrenees to conclude an exciting FIS Snowboard World Cup season 2014/15.
