FIS Ski Jumping Grand Prix with first competitions in Wisla
Ski jumpers are looking ahead to the 22nd edition of the FIS Grand Prix which begins on 31st July 2015.
On the men’s side, a total of 13 competitions (eleven individual and two team) will be staged at eight different venues: Wisla (POL), Hinterzarten (GER), Courchevel (FRA), Einsiedeln (SUI), Hakuba (JPN), Tchaikowski (RUS), Almaty (KAZ), Hinzenbach (AUT)
Fans can again look forward to exciting battles among the many high profile athletes including last year’s winner Jernej Damjan (SLO).
Five Grand Prix competitions for the ladies
The ladies will have five competitions at the three venues of Courchevel (FRA), Tchaikowski (RUS) and Almaty (KAZ) together with the men’s events.
Among the favourites are last year’s winner Sara Takanashi (JPN) and 2014/15 World Cup champion Daniela Iraschko-Stolz (AUT).
Extended equipment control
For the first time, the Grand Prix will see an additional equipment control at the start gate where the jumping suits will be measured performed by specifically trained officials. After the measurement, no further amendments will be allowed to the jumping suits. At the same time, reference values of all athletes will be collected and archived.
