Therese Johaug and Didrik Toenseth won the first competition of Toppidrettsveka 2015.

First event on the competition program was a trail run race – Fonna Op. The race was 5.3 km long with 652 m total climb. The trail went from Aure to the hill Fonna.

Didrik Toenseth dominated the men’s race in the time of 28:53.3 and set a new trail record. Martin Johansson of Sweden took second place +13 sec back. Noah Hoffman powered to a strong third place.

Therese Johaug crushed the ladies start field. She finished the race as the 10th athlete overall and with the time of 31:18.8 she edged out the runner up Heidi Weng to second place by 1:38 min. Liz Stephen (USA) powered to third place.
