Successful first part of South American Cup 2015

The first part of the South American Cup 2015 end last week in La Parva, Chile and from next week onwards, the finals with the speed disciplines will start in El Colorado, Chile and the technical events in Cerro Castor, Argentine from September 21st.

Until now all the events went according to schedule with 3 slaloms, 3 giant slaloms, 2 downhills and 2 Super-G already done. These include FIS, NC and NJC races during the month of August in Chapelco, Bariloche in Argentine and Antillanca, Valle Nevado, El Colorado, La Parva in Chile.

Until now more than 400 competitors from 35 different nations took part on the South American Cup this season and the organisers saw record numbers of competitors in some races. In the Ladies Overall Standings, Noelle Barahona from Chile holds the first position with a point difference of 30 points to Macarena Simari and Salome Bancora from Argentine.

In the Men Overall Standings ,Tomas Birkner from Argentine is in the first place, separated from runner-up Henrik Von Appen from Chile by only two points and Federico Vietti from Italy in third place. Also in the discipline standings the fight is very close. The Nations Cup Men is led by Chile and the Ladies' version by Argentine.
