Grass Ski World Champs conclude in Tambre

The FIS Grass Ski World Championships were successfully staged from 2nd-5th September 2015 in Tambre (ITA).

63 ladies and men from 12 nations battled it out in the events of super-G, super combined, giant slalom and slalom.

Host Italy was the most successful nation with eight medals (three gold, four silver, one bronze) followed by Slovakia with four (three gold, one silver) and the Czech Republic with seven (2, 2, 3).

The most successful athletes were Barbara Mikova (SVK) with three gold and one silver, and Jan Nemec (CZE) with two gold, one silver and one bronze medal.

It was the first time the highlight event was staged in Tambre, located about 80 km north of Venice in the province of Belluno, after the municipality successfully held FIS and FIS World Cup events previously.
