The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun (SWE) 2015 officially concluded with the last meeting of the board on 5th September, where the Organisers were happy to announce that the financial result was better than expected.
The final result was a profit of 47 million SEK (5.2 million Euro) and exceeded the preliminary result of 42 million SEK, that was presented in May.
”I am very proud and happy about ending the World Championships project by presenting a financial result beyond all expectations. A preliminary result is always unsure. We needed more time to get the final result. In May we did not have all the ticket income, which turned out higher than we thought. And also, the dismantling costs were lower than calculated", said Sven von Holst, CEO of Falun 2015.
