Bad news for the Italian team: Samuel Costa will have to sit the first competitions of the season out due to an injury to his left knee. Costa had successful surgery on his meniscus tear at the hospital in Verona on the 30th of October and will remain at complete rest for the remainder of the week.

After that he can slowly start with physical activity again. If everything goes well, Costa could return to the Nordic Combined World Cup in January at the earliest.
