Less than a month to go

Over the past couple of seasons, Carezza, Italy has emerged as a tradition-rich venue to host one of the early season races of the World Cup tour.

On December 12th, 2015 and therefore in less than a month, the South Tyrolean resort will welcome the world's best raceboarders for the fifth time to compete for World Cup points on the Pra di Tori slope.

As every year, the local heroes are looking forward to the season's opener. No wonder, as some of them did impress with some good results in the recent winters.

World champion Roland Fischnaller came out successfully of the 2014 event again after having been triumphant back in 2011 already. His team mate Nadya Ochner celebrated her first WC top-3 result last year jumping on the podium as third.

Another Italian prospect for a good result next month is Christoph Mick, who earned also his first WC podium last year (silver, Bad Gastein) and has high hopes for his fifth appearance in Carezza.

“It's always nice to compete on home soil”, said the racer with so far 50 World Cup starts under his belt.

“But it's good that we still have one month to go. The whole team is in great shape but we need some more time to prepare ourselves. We have some fine-tuning ahead of us. We want to do well in Carezza,” explained the rider from Welschnofen who knows the ski resort inside out.

This year's race will kick off things on December 12th, 2015, at 8:45 AM CET with the time trials.

Knock out rounds, which will be raced the single-run-format are scheduled for 12:30 PM CET with the medal runs estimated for 1:30 PM CET.

In addition, two training days on the Pra di Tori slope are also on the programme on December 10th and 11th.
