Prevc king of 4-Hills Tournament

Peter Prevc (SLO) is the new king of the 4-Hills Tournament. Prevc put the icing on the cake of an incredible Tournament after also winning the final stage in Bischofshofen (AUT) with jumps of 139.0 and 142.5.

Prevc won three of the four stages of this year’s 4-Hills Tournament and only trailed after ceding the opening stage to Severin Freund (GER). Freund closed the tournament in second place, while Michael Hayböck (AUT) rounded out the top three.

Peter Prevc said after his win, "I was nervous, very nervous even. I couldn’t sleep for three days because I was so nervous, but now I'm relaxed and just happy. I think I will also not sleep much tonight, but hopefully because I’m celebrating.”

Severin Freund was in the fight for the overall victory, although Prevc had a large leading heading into the final stage. He put in a solid performance with jumps of 136.0 and 141.0 meters with 290.5 points, his fourth podium finish in this tour.

The overall World Cup winner said, "It was a lot of fun with four podiums. I think I did a lot very well. This tour was a lot of joy and builds anticipation for the future. "

Michael Hayböck helped console the Austrian team, which had celebrated the last seven Tour victories in a row, third place.

Hayböck said, "I fought hard for the third place finish. I saw exactly how far Kenneth Gangnes jumped and it was all the better it than I could fly over the green line was. I am more than happy with this tour. Peter was incredible. "

Peter Prevc also leads the overall World Cup standings and has 924 points, a solid 205 points ahead of Severin Freund. In third place in the World Cup standings is Kenneth Gangnes with 595 points.

After a day of rest and travel the World Cup will resume in Willingen (GER) at the end of the week.
