Setback for German team veteran Björn Kircheisen. He suffered a rupture of a muscle fibre in his hamstring during the team’s training in Seefeld and had to take a break afterwards.

As the injury isn't fully healed yet, Kircheisen has to take a full break from competing in Chaux-Neuve on the upcoming weekend. According to Dr. Pecher and the German team’s medical staff, the afflicted body part may not be overstrained at this point. It is not possible to give Kircheisen’s start quota to a younger team member as the junior team has already travelled to Korea to take part in the Continental Cup competitions there this weekend.
