Since 2007 Charlotte Kala has accumulated 34 National Championship medals, most of which have been gold. Heading into this weekend's Swedish Championships in Gällivare, Kalla currently sits at 21 national titles which has her tied with Antonina Ordinas.  Ordinas set the record back in the 1990s at 21 and Kalla is set to go after win 22 in the coming days.   

"I'm thinking not so much about the medals but to find a good feeling on the skis.  That is most important to me right now.  It is always great fun to be out with my ski club and compete. I think it is important to be at our national championships and compete elsewhere around the country and not just be visible through the television screen on the World Cup, to inspire future generations of children and young people and to invest in cross-country," says Kalla.
