The end of the Cross-Country season is expected to witness 12'200 Cross-Country skiers at the start in Geilo for the season-concluding Skarverennet on Saturday, 23rd April. 

For most of the participants their time will not matter and they will enjoy the 37 km race from Finse to Ustaoset stopping to picnic and enjoy the views, yet several World Cup stars are also expected to compete.

Top athletes at the start 

Leading the way the stars are Therese Johaug, Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg, Heidi Weng, Astrid Jacobsen, Petter Northug, Toni Livers, Sjur Rothe, Niklas Dyrhaug, Finn Haagen Krogh and Chris Jespersen, while Marit Bjoergen has been forced to withdraw due to injury.
