"All members of the national team were on the podium last season. We are very satisfied with this. When it comes to results, there's a significant difference between the first and the second group, so the nomination was clear", sports director Clas Brede Braathen is quoted on the website of the Norwegian Ski Association.

The members of the second group were chosen according to the results in the World Cup, the Continental Cup and the Norges Cup. "We think that we found a system that allows as many athletes as possible to live up to their full potential. This also shows in the fact that Daniel Andre Tande, Andreas Stjernen and Joachim Hauer came out of this group", said Brathen.
