Four wins for Sweden on the last day at World Cup in Sollefteå

The FIS Rollerski World Cup, and also the pre-Rollerskiing World Championships, was concluded on Sunday in Sollefteå. The audience at Hallstaberget was given great entertainment as once again the Swedish roller ski team dominated and won all classes.

The women's junior class competition began with a lead of the home hopeful Frida Karlsson from organizing Sollefteå Skiclub. Out in the second lap she had to withdraw from the race. Second skier from the organizing skiclub, Jenny Solin, took over the command at the intermediate in the forest. However, after two laps it was Moa Olsson, who took over the lead. Solin did a nice last lap and took the first place back, a lead she managed all the way to the finish. Olsson finished second and Moa Lundgren, finished third. A revenge for Lundgren, who had a lot of bad luck at the other races during the weekend.

The men's junior class was decided after four laps and the victory went to Marcus Fredriksson, who showed what a strong skater he is. He had full control and led from start to finish. Francesco Becchis, (ITA) finished second. Alfred Buskqvist, was third after a great battle against the fourth place finisher Marcus Grate.

In the women's class,  Maryia Nedyukhina (BLR) was very strong. Out on the third lap she lost the pace a bit and Britta Johansson took over the lead. Johansson kept a steady pace and was able to secure the victory with a 40-second margin to Nedyukhina who ended up as second. Evelina Settlin finished third after a battle against four Sandra Olsson.

The men's race was run over five laps.  Anton Lindblad had the best start and had a slim lead over Robin Norum until the fourth lap. Once there Norum took the command and could keep it all the way to victory. Lindblad finished second and third was Joergen Brink after a controlled race of the former winner of Vasaloppet.
