Sara Takanashi's winning streak continues
Sara Takanashi also took the win in her fourth international competition this summer. After she was the best in the two Grand Prix events in Almaty (KAZ), the Japanese now won both Continental Cups in Trondheim, Norway.
With jumps on 93.5 m and 105.5 m and a total of 265.5 points the 17-year-old overall World Cup winner celebrated her fourth win in a row on Sunday and remains the dominating athlete in ladies' ski jumping.
Sarah Hendrickson, who is on her way back to old strength after a serious knee injury, was the runner-up again. The American jumped on 91.5 m and 100.5 m and came in second with 251.5 points.
After she closely missed the podium in the first competition of the weekend, French Coline Mattel finished third on Sunday with 91 m and 96.5 m (248.5 points), followed by her teammate Julia Clair in fourth.
Line Jahr was the best Norwegian in fifth, with Anette Sagen in eighth and Gyda Enger in tenth, two more athletes of the hosting team came in among the best ten.
Only 0.5 points behind Jahr, American Nita Englund finished sixth, ahead of Evelyn Insam, who was the best Italian again in seventh. The ninth place went to Finland's Julia Kykkaenen.
After the overall ranking of the Grand Prix, Sara Takanashi also won this summer's COC ranking with the maximum of 200 points. Sarah Hendrickson finished second with 160 points, followed by Coline Mattel in third (110 points).
