FIS Cross-Country recently caught up with Norway's Eirik Brandsdal during the team's altitude training camp in Val Senales, Italy. Brandsdal is coming off a career best sprint season in 2014 where he finished second in the overall Sprint rankings.

Bjoergen in a good place as season approaches

Bjoergen has been coming to Val Senales, Italy for 15 years and as she enters her 16th year on the FIS World Cup tour she is still motivated and focused on her pursuit of excellence. Bjoergen's Norwegian team coach Egil Kristiansen is impressed by what he has seen from the skiing star during a mix of high intensity intervals on snow and interspersed roller skiing. 
Andrea Dettling undergoes surgery again

After fracturing her tibia and fibula last January, Andrea Dettling should have been comfortably on the way to recovery, but instead of spending the beginning of November preparing for the season the Swiss speed specialist has undergone additional surgery in St.Moritz this Wednesday. 
French equipe to cross the pond

The French alpine snowboarding team led by 2014 PSL World Cup title winner Sylvain Dufour will head to North America on November 3rd to enter its final preparation phase for the new season. 
Duvillard to focus on free-technique competitions

Robin Duvillard will celebrate his 31st birthday on December 22 and will start in a few weeks his 7th season on the World Cup. Since his inception in 2008 on World Cup he has taken the to learn his craft. 
Pressure is motivation for Peter Prevc

With the second place in the overall World Cup and Silver and Bronze at the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Peter Prevc was one of the best ski jumpers last winter. These successes obviously changed the public's expectations for the future, a fact that he is very aware of.

Jessica Lindell-Vikarby had an incredible 2013/2014 season. After scoring her first giant slalom win on the Birds of Prey in Beaver Creek on 1st December 2013, she led the GS standings until the Finals in Lenzerheide.
