No surgery necessary for Magnus Moan

It will be no surgery for Magnus Moan after all, as was decided in a meeting with the Norwegian team doctor, Petter Olberg, at Trondheim today. Moan had been having problems with pain in his heel and achilles tendon for years but was able to train normally in the last few seasons. A new MRT earlier this week showed a stress fracture of the heel bone. 
Neureuther to skip Soelden

Germany’s best technical racer, Felix Neureuther, will skip the World Cup season opener in Soelden, Austria, in order to focus on the first slalom of the season in Levi, Finland. 
End of season for Wahrstötter

Christoph Wahrstötter, member of the Austrian Ski Cross team, suffered a meniscus fracture in his left knee crashing in a training run on the Pitztal glacier. As if that wouldn't have been enough, the 25-year-old skier of the national squad also tore his ACL.
