A busy training week is waiting for the Italian ladies teams. While the World and European Cup slalom teams headed to the Swiss glacier of Saas-Fee until the 23rd of August, the World and European Cup speed team will train in Cervinia until August 21.

The final events of the 2015 Australian Championships for Cross Country Skiing were held this weekend August 15-16 at Falls Creek in Victoria.

Once again Cardrona Alpine Resort will host the World Cup competitions as a part of the Audi quattro Winter Games New Zealand. With the starting lists chock-full of World’s best athletes, the bar is going to be set high right from the beginning of the 2015/2016 Freestyle World Cup season.

After his success on Friday in Courchevel, Severin Freund also won the FIS Grand Prix in Einsiedeln (SUI). With two jumps on 113.5 m and 260.8 points, the overall World Cup winner came in close ahead of Peter Prevc and Kamil Stoch.

Sara Takanashi won this summer's first FIS Ladies' Grand Prix. With the longest jumps of the day on 98 m and 97 m, the Japanese scored a total of 243.4 points

Severin Freund won the FIS Grand Prix in Courchevel. The overall World Cup winner, second last weekend in Hinterzarten, jumped on 132 m and 130.5 m and took the win with a total of 247.4 points. Japanese Kento Sakuyama and Peter Prevc finished second and third.

New Zealand ski racers Willis Feasey (Twizel) and Piera Hudson (Hawke’s Bay/Wanaka) continued their winning streak at The New Zealand Alpine National Championships today, claiming national titles in the slalom.

Over the weekend the Freeski Open of NZ Slopestyle and Halfpipe took over the Cardrona Snowpark.

Australia's top female and male snowboard cross athletes have dominated the two-stop sbx series of the Australia New Zealand Cup in Hotham Alpine Resort.

Argentina’s Carlos Lannes won the fifth and inaugural Worldloppet edition of Argentina’s Ushuaia Loppet 42 KM freestyle marathon in a time of 1:51:55. One second back was Poland’s Justyna Kowalczyk who took second overall and the women’s victory.
