Last weekend, it was time for the first international competition action for the future Nordic Combined stars as a FIS Youth Cup took place in Harrachov (CZE). With the warm weather also taking its toll on the competition activities for the young athletes this winter, all teams were excited to arrive in snowy Harrachov.

The next stop for mogul skiers on the FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup circuit will be on Saturday, January 23 at the Val Saint-Côme Ski Resort in Quebec. Located approximately two hours north of Montreal, Saint-Côme will host its third consecutive FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup.

The first stage of the eight FIS Worldloppet Cup 2016 races is over. 1230 participants skied the 38th edition of La Foulée Blanch in Autrans/FRA. For the first time it was part of the official Long Distance Skiing World Cup of FIS and Worldloppet and hence many elite skiers found their way to Autrans.

The 86th Lauberhorn races are in the books. After Kjetil Jansrud’s win in the alpine combined, Aksel Lund Svindal’s win in the downhill, another Norwegian, Henrik Kristoffersen, finished the day atop the podium after winning the slalom.

Norway won gold at the Ski Flying World Championships for the third time. Anders Fannemel, Kenneth Gangnes, Johann Andre Forfang and Daniel Andre Tande took a clear win ahead of Germany and Austria with 1467.7 points.
