Claire and Goepper shine in the slopestyle season's finals in Seiser Alm

 Caroline Clair (USA) and Nick Goepper (USA) took victories in the final FIS Freeski World Cup event of 2017/2018 in Seiser Alm (ITA), with Jennie-Lee Burmansson (SWE) and Andri Ragettli (SUI) wrapping up the season with the slopestyle crystal globes in hand after finishing tops in the overall ranking.

Goggia takes downhill globe as Vonn wins 82nd World Cup race in Åre

Lindsey Vonn won her 82nd World Cup race on Wednesday during the World Cup Finals in Åre, Sweden, but her efforts proved just three points shy of overtaking Sofia Goggia in the downhill discipline standings. Goggia claimed her career-first crystal globe with the downhill discipline title after finishing second in the standings the previous season.

Olympic Downhill Champion Sofia Goggia (ITA) won the ladies’ downhill title by three points, despite finishing second to Lindsey Vonn (USA) at the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Finals in Are (SWE) on Wednesday. Downhill World Champion Beat Feuz (SUI) took the globe on the men’s side over Aksel Lund Svindal (NOR).

Kamil Stoch of Poland claimed the 28th World Cup win of his career on Tuesday in Lillehammer (NOR) with jumps of 140.5 m and 141 m (306.4 points).

Kamil Stoch a class of his own

Kamil Stoch of Poland won the qualification in Lillehammer on Monday evening with an outstanding jump of 139.5 m (153.5 points. The second and third place went to Dawid Kubacki of Poland (136.4 points) and local hero Robert Johansson, who came in only the tiny margin of 0.1 points behind Kubacki. With his win today, Kamil Stoch could extend his lead in the RAW AIR overall ranking to 23.5 points.
