The 2015-16 FIS World Cup season kicks off in one day in Ruka, Finland. Here are a few of the announced National Team rosters for the Ruka Triple 27-29 taking place November, 2015.

The home team has taken it all. Well, almost. On the second day of the mid-week double snowboard cross Europa Cup tour stop on the Pitztal glacier, Austria riders from the hosting nation left no doubt who rules the roost.

Two and a half weeks ahead of the season's World Cup opener in Montafon, Austria, reigning Olympic champion Eva Samkova (CZE) and Hanno Douschan (AUT) have triumphed in this season's first Europa Cup race staged on the Pitztal glacier which saw a huge field to participate.

While everybody speaks about the winter of 2015/16 as a winter without title events and with the overall World Cup trophy as the only big win, Nordic Combined athletes just got another chance to win. In cooperation with Nordic Combined sponsors Viessmann and Audi and representatives of international ski media, FIS is introducing the Nordic Combined Awards.

The Norwegian Ski Federation has named seven athletes to its Nordic Combined team for the World Cup opener in Ruka, Finland.

Gregor Schlierenzauer will not participate in the next two World Cup competitions in Kuusamo (FIN) on Friday and Saturday. His place on the Austrian team will be taken by Florian Altenburger.

The German team won the first competition of the new World Cup season. Overall World Cup winner Severin Freund, the team Olympic champions Andreas Wellinger and Andreas Wank and local hero Richard Freitag, scored 1021.9 points and took the win ahead of Slovenia and Austria.

Daniel Andre Tande won the this World Cup season's first individual competition. The 21-year-old took the win in Klingenthal with jumps on 142 m and 140.5 m and 268.7 points, followed by Peter Prevc and Severin Freund.
