



Like every year, the provisional competition calendars for the upcoming summer and winter season were announced at the FIS Sub Committee meetings in Zurich (SUI).

Safe Sport International hosted the first global summit in Madrid (ESP) to address all forms of violence and abuse in sport last weekend. Representatives from six continents and 25 nations received presentations from leading researchers in the field, the IOC Safeguarding Toolkit authors, practical experts, and survivors, whose statements provided impact and understanding of the real issues – finally victors not victims.

With 315 days until the opening of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2019, the FIS Coordination Group gathered on 9th and 10th April 2018 in Seefeld (AUT) for its semi-annual meeting to review preparations for the upcoming Championships.

Stefan Huber (GER) has been appointed as FIS Event Director and will begin the newly developed role on 1st July 2018.

The FIS Congress 2018 takes place from 13th-19th May in Costa Navarino (GRE). It includes meetings of the Technical Committees, the Council as well as the General Assembly on 18th May.



In two months, the international skiing and snowboarding family will convene in Costa Navarino (GRE) for the 51st International Ski Congress from 13th-18th May 2018.

It was the last week of action for the Audi FIS Ski World Cup before the tour headed to Are (SWE) for this week’s Season Finals.
