With an amazing jump on 246 m Anders Fannemel won the qualification on the huge hill in Vikersund. Fannemel landed only 0.5 m short of the world record held by his fellow countryman Johan Remen Evensen. With 223.4 points the Norwegian came in ahead of his teammate Andreas Stjernen and Japanese Daiki Ito.
