The European Youth Olympic Festival got underway this week in Voralberg (AUT) and Liechtenstein with athletes between 14-18 years of age competing in all areas of winter sports.

A wonderful winter scenery awaited the almost 8000 racers on the start line of this year's Marcialonga. However, Val di Fassa and Val di Fiemme, the two valleys through which the prestigious race runs through, hadn't seen much snow in the last couple of weeks.
