Yesterday, 4th September, two downhill competitions were held at La Parve (Chili) as a part of the South American Open Cup.

The Summer Grand Prix finals in Oberstdorf provided a nail-biting, down-to-the-wire, dramatic conclusion. In the end, a long shot became a reality when Austrian Bernhard Gruber and Japanese Akito Watabe tied for the Summer Grand Prix overall title and will now share the "King of the Summer" honours for 2013.

The Russian Alpine Skier Alexander Glebov successfully competed in the South American Cup in La Parve and earned "bronze".
