Therese Johaug of Norway has won her 5th consecutive World Cup distance competition. It is the first time she has ever accomplished this. Once before she won 5 in a row from March to December but never in just one season and all before Christmas

This season it does not matter which technique it is for Martin Johnsrud Sundby of Norway he has won them all so far. Free technique competitions in Ruka and Davos, the Skiathlon in Lillehammer and now double polling 15 km in Toblach, Sundby has become class of the field.

Marcel Hirscher (AUT) skied to his fifth season victory after a fantastic second run led him to the Audi FIS World Cup giant slalom win in Alta Badia (ITA). It was the third straight giant slalom win for Hirscher in Alta Badia, a new record for the Dolomite World Cup venue.

Peter Prevc took the win in the first individual competition in Engelberg and together with his younger brother Domen he provided a novelty. Both celebrate the first ever double victory of brothers in the ski jumping World Cup.

He did it again. Norwegian Aksel Lund Svindal collected his fifth season victory on the Audi FIS World Cup tour, this time claiming the downhill crown in Val Gardena (ITA).

Lara Gut loves Val d’Isere and the French resort loves her too. Fired up by her victory in Friday’s alpine combined, the Swiss ski star tackled Saturday’s downhill with high ambitions.
