Patrizia Kummer and Christoph Mick claim victory at Cortina's historic World Cup debut

Patrizia Kummer (SUI) and Christoph Mick (ITA) have claimed victory in the last FIS Snowboard World Cup event prior to the turn of the year which was staged in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy under the lights.

The first race of two slated the last competition weekend of 2015 took place under the shadow of the Dolomites at the Audi FIS Ski Cross World Cup Innichen/San Candido, Italy, on Saturday, with Heidi Zacher (GER) and Jean Frederic Chapuis (FRA) claiming the respective ladies' and men's wins.

After the snowboard cross World Cup originally scheduled for Cortina d'Ampezzo had to be cancelled ten days ago due to the current lack of snow, Local Organisers and FIS Officials agreed on substituting the event by a psl race.

Takanashi strikes back

Sara Takanashi won the second individual FIS Ski Jumping World Cup Ladies in Nizhny Tagil and celebrated her 31st World Cup win. She stayed ahead of her team mate Yuki Ito and the Austrian Chiara Hölzl with the longest jumps of the day, 98,0 and 99,0 metres and 257,1 points.

Petra Vlhova claims maiden World Cup win

The last World Cup competition to be held in Åre before the Finals in 2018 saw Slovakia's Petra Vlhova emerge victorious for the first time in her career. In the lead after the first run, the 20-year-old didn’t let the nerves play any tricks on her and put another stunning run together to clock a combined time of 1:44.26. Local hero Frida Hansdotter was the fastest in the second run and finished second, 0.59 seconds off the pace. Norway’s Nina Loeseth rounded out the podium, 0.65 seconds out.
Val d'Isere slalom win goes to Kristoffersen

Henrik Kristofferesen (NOR) won the debut men’s slalom race of the 2015-16 Audi FIS World Cup season, beating the rest of the field by 1.09 seconds in a race packed with twists and turns in Val d’Isere (FRA).
First win this season for Peter Prevc

Peter Prevc won the second individual competition in Nizhny Tagil. With jumps of 131.5 m and 139.5 m for a total of 267.4 points, the Slovene came in ahead of Michael Hayboeck and Johann Andre Forfang and took his first win this season.
